The Witness of the Stars is E. W. Bullinger’s influential 1893 study of the constellations, star names, and zodiacal imagery as a symbolic witness to biblical history and Christian theology.

Organized around the twelve signs of the zodiac and their associated constellations, Bullinger examines traditional star names, ancient celestial figures, and scriptural parallels in an effort to reconstruct what he believed to be a primordial message preserved in the heavens. The work moves from Virgo through Leo, treating figures such as Ophiuchus, Hercules, Draco, Orion, Andromeda, and many others as parts of a larger symbolic narrative of redemption.
