The Philosophy of Personal Influence is an early twentieth-century study of personal magnetism, hypnotism, mesmerism, suggestion, magnetic healing, and the deliberate cultivation of influence.
Published under the name X. La Motte Sage, the work emerged from the mail-order schools of mental science and practical occultism that flourished at the turn of the century. It approaches influence as a trainable faculty expressed through attention, will, confidence, suggestion, speech, bearing, and directed thought.
Beyond its practical teachings, the book is an important document from the history of correspondence-course occultism: a period in which psychology, self-development, mesmerism, New Thought, and commercial esoteric instruction frequently overlapped.
This Holographic Pagan Press edition has
been newly restored and prepared for modern readers. Its period cover artwork has been carefully reconstructed and presented in a handmade black tape-bound format.
Each physical copy is printed, assembled, and finished by hand.
