Phrenoscopy: Being a Synthetic System of Astro-Phrenology—The Key to Human Character is Sepharial’s unusual 1914 attempt to unite astrology and phrenology into a single practical system of character reading.

Across its illustrated chapters, Sepharial correlates planetary and zodiacal principles with the traditional phrenological divisions of the head, then develops rules for temperament, instinct, intellect, sympathy, devotion, social character, and judgment by position. The result is one of the stranger surviving examples of early twentieth-century occult psychology: part astrology manual, part character-analysis system, and part synthesis of two once-popular sciences of personality.
