Privately printed for subscribers in 1898, Magnetic Magic is a rare English digest of the practical portions of Louis-Alphonse Cahagnet’s major French works on animal magnetism, occult influence, and visionary practice.
Drawn principally from Arcanes de la vie future dévoilée and Magie Magnétique, the volume condenses Cahagnet’s much larger investigations into a compact manual. Its subjects include magnetic fascination, magic mirrors and crystal vision, sympathetic influence, pacts, charms, the magic of speech, necromancy, and the cultivation of clairvoyant or somnambulic perception.
The original English edition was limited to only one hundred copies and included a portrait of Cahagnet. It preserves a fascinating meeting point between nineteenth-century mesmerism, Spiritualism, practical occultism, and the French magnetic tradition.
This Holographic Pagan Press edition restores the historical text as a handmade large-format book. Each physical copy is printed, assembled, and finished by hand with a clean white card-stock cover, vivid black and pale-gray magnetic-field artwork, and a black cloth tape-bound spine.
This is a newly prepared Holographic Pagan Press edition and not an original antique copy.
